Founded Cathy Carstens Physiotherapy Practice: 1990
Qualification: BSc in Physiotherapy, 1984, University of Cape Town
Experience: Cathy established the practice in 1990. After graduating from UCT, she spent 7 years at Paarl School for Cerebral Palsy Children. During this time she qualified as a Neurodevelopmental therapist.
Special Interests: Cathy is also a keen sportswoman with National colours in Cycling and Provincial colours in Athletics, Cross-Country and Hockey.
Her primary interest is Sports Injuries and Orthopaedics. She also enjoys working with infants with developmental delay.
Cathy is passionate about continuously upgrading and improving her skill set as a Physiotherapist and then sharing her knowledge with the team at the practice. She has completed numerous courses and workshops presented by top International and National lecturers.
Cathy is also an accredited Lyno practioner. Lyno is a great system used to treat and manage chronic musculo skeletal conditions.
Cathy has a passion for people and personal growth. She is a qualified International Consciousness Coach and also had done various other courses.
Something About Me: My dad was a Vetinary Surgeon and my step-dad was a Surgeon. I am proud to share that my daughter is a practicing Physiotherapist and has recently moved back to Cape Town.
