When I was a little girl, I loved going with my Dad (a Vet) on calls to help farm animals, I learned and experienced so much. I knew that one day when I grew up that I also wanted to make a difference. I had my first knee operation in Grade 7, it was a scary experience for me, but the physiotherapist was like a ray of sunshine bringing hope and healing β that was my inspiration. I wanted to be a Physio!
I have been living my dream for the past 30 years. What an incredible journey it is! Yes, I am still on it β just taking a moment to celebrate the Joy!
The practice started with humble beginnings out of our converted garage in October 1990 but soon moved to 7 Roslyn street which has been almost completely re-built since then. My heart is filled with gratitude to every physiotherapist who has walked some of this journey with us β thank you! I am forever grateful to Heidi de Swardt who has been alongside me for 22 years. Linda Oosthuizen has also contributed so much over the past 21 years.
Each and every person who has received treatment at the practice is part of the family! Thank you for the privilege of being able to work with you to help you achieve your goals! It is special having treated a young person, watch them grow up, get married and then ultimately treat their children! I am so happy that I work with people (not animals) β thank you for all the fun, laughs and even tears we have shared along the way!
I am very proud to be a Physiotherapist. I may be biased, but they are just marvelous people β always striving to be the best they can be. I so enjoy learning and growing as a Physio. I have done so many amazing courses that it feels like I have done my degree 3x over!
I canβt stop yet β the best is still to come. Every day is an adventure, with stories to tell. I am so grateful I get to share them with you!
